Virtual Walk - 13. The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is the area in the church set aside for divine worship. Situated within it are the Altar, where the Holy Mass is offered; the Pulpit, where the Sacred Scriptures are read and the Homily is preached; and the chair for the priest.

The restoration of the mural in the Sanctuary depicting the heavenly hosts of angels was completed by artist and parishioner Stephen Medovich for Holy Week 2007. His additions to the artwork in our historic church include the renewed image of the Holy Spirit, and the images of Saint Michael and Saint Raphael, Archangels, at the top of the mural.
